Five new authorized books based on the popular Fox series are hitting the market later this year. Publisher Little Brown Books will release the first volume in August, 'The Beginning,' which is billed as a prequel.

Members of the show's creative team are collaborating with the publisher for the novels, which will feature the characters we've all come to know and love singing and dancing about their lives, loves, troubles, and successes at Mckinley High.
