Harry Connick Jr., Letterman Fear Embarrassing Their Kids (VIDEO)

Both Harry Connick Jr. and David Letterman have young schoolchildren. So when the crooner stopped by the 'Late Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS), it was the perfect opportunity for Letterman to get some advice. Well, maybe Connick wasn't the best person to ask.Referring to his 6-year-old son, Letterman said, "I'm beginning to worry that soon he won't hold my hand when we walk down the street. Does your 7-year-old still do that with you?"
"It happened for the first time about three or four days ago," said Connick Jr. "I walked into her classroom with her. I picked her up and gave her a kiss and she said, 'Dad, you're embarrassing me.'"
"So I slapped the crap out of her," he deadpanned. "I said, 'You embarrassing me!'" he joked.
But then Letterman showed a clip of a very young boy smoking a cigarette. Embarrassing their kids is the least of their worries.
