'Idol' Alum Jason Castro to Guest on 'The Bold and the Beautiful'

Jason CastroJason Castro is about to make a 'Bold' move: The former 'American Idol' contestant will guest on a July episode of 'The Bold and the Beautiful,' according to EW.com's Hollywood Insider.

He'll play himself in the episode, during which he'll perform his new single, 'Love Uncompromised.'

Castro, who garnered a slew of fans after his performance of 'Hallelujah,' was a fourth-place finisher on 'Idol' season 7. Earlier this year, he released his eponymous CD debut, which peaked at number 18 on Billboard.

Last month, 'The Bold and the Beautiful' received a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Drama Series.

The 2010 Daytime Emmys air live Sun., June 27, 9PM ET on CBS.

This dude has the "it" quality for TV -- the wide face, good bone structure, good teeth. He's also open and easygoing. I predict he'll do more film/TV work --

Yes, it was definitely season 7 and this used to be a great soap, but now stinks to high heaven...just what we need Jason Castro on here. They had another one Constantine on...it was stupid, there was no real story line factor...B&B wastes our time!

ABSOLUTELY RIGHT ON B&B. It is dumb. Stupid plotlines. And what about the HO that is married to Ridge(?) AND his brothers, AND his dad, AND her son-in-law, AND ALL THE OTHER MEN ON THE SHOW. Also, what is with the faces she makes? She is NOT sexy, just nasty. Taylor is 50 times as classy and womanly than Brook. WHAT ABOUT THOSE STUPID NAMES? BROOK, RIDGE, THORNE, ETC. Now her daughter is following in her footsteps, screwing and getting preggers with her mother-in-laws husband. I would be afraid that I would catch something. UGH

Yeah, Jason Castro was definitly on Season 4 of American Idol, not season 7.
