Gabrielle Union has enlisted in Lifetime's upcoming 'Army Wives' spinoff. She'll play Det. Gina Holt, who partners with Brigid Brannagh's Pamela Moran when Pamela returns to her old job -- this time, with the Atlanta police department. The spinoff will debut as an "embedded pilot" later this season. [Live Feed] More casting news after the jump.
'Bachelor' hunk Jake Pavelka will guest on an episode of the hit Lifetime dramedy 'Drop Dead Diva.' He'll play the star of a reality dating series (no, really) whose producer is being sued after Pavelka's character dumps one bachelorette for another. The episode is slated to air on Aug. 22. Meanwhile, in other pretty, pretty good news, Ricky Gervais will reportedly guest on an episode of 'Curb Your Enthusiasm.' He'll play himself in the episode, with further details being kept under wraps. 'Curb' season 8 is expected to debut next year. [Live Feed]
'7th Heaven' alum Stephen Collins has been made a series regular on ABC's upcoming superhero series 'No Ordinary Family.' He'll play boss to Julie Benz's ('Dexter') character on the series, which stars Michael Chiklis ('The Shield') as the patriarch of a family that develops supernatural powers after surviving a plane crash. 'No Ordinary Family' airs Tuesdays at 8PM, beginning this fall. [Hollywood Reporter]
