Werewolves Attack on 'True Blood' (VIDEO)

Werewolves Attack on 'True Blood'Werewolves! Vampires! To be honest, they've both been a little wussified by their presence in the 'Twilight' movies. But hey, we can still enjoy them when they show up on 'True Blood,' right?

[Spoiler alert.]

During the season premiere of 'True Blood' (Sun., 9PM ET on HBO), we get plenty of nice vampire/werewolf action the way that we like it. Bill (Stephen Moyer) has gone missing, and Sookie (Anna Paquin) is hot on his trail. But before she can locate her missing lover, Bill must throw down against a bunch of werewolves who are part of the non-cleverly-named "Operation Werewolf."*

It's man-vampire thing versus wolf-things. In the final scene, Bill finds himself surrounded by the creatures. "I should warn you," he snarls at them, "I fed." Meaning that he's already fed on human blood. Right. Maybe you should take the warning, wolves!

(*Update: A reader pointed out in the comment section that "Operation Werewolf" refers to an German commando unit which fought at the end of World War II. Which actually makes the name a pretty clever reference.)

Operation Werewolf was the name of the Nazi plan to keep fighting a guerilla war against the Allies after the collapse of the Third Reich. That symbol is an old rune called a Wolfsangel.
