Brian Benben Promoted to Regular on 'Private Practice'

Expect to see a lot more of Dr. Sheldon Wallace (played by actor Brian Benben) on 'Private Practice' next season. EW's Michael Ausiello reports that series creator Shonda Rhimes has decided to make him a regular.

Wallace first showed up in Season 2 as a psychiatrist at Oceanside's rival, Pacific Wellcare. He quickly joined the bed-hopping set by romancing Charlotte (KaDee Strickland) and possibly knocking up Violet (Amy Brenneman).

Benben previously starred on the HBO series 'Dream On' and in the film 'Radioland Murders.' He also briefly had his own series, titled -- aptly enough -- 'The Brian Benben Show,' in 1998.
