Kobe, Lakers Make Special 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' Visit

It's showtime for Jimmy Kimmel and the NBA champion Los Angeles Lakers.

Star Kobe Bryant and other members of the Lakers will appear on a special edition of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' Friday night, according to the New York Times. The team defeated the Boston Celtics for the championship in a come-from-behind Game 7 win Thursday night in Los Angeles.
Kimmel's booker, John Carlin, was at the game and secured the spot after speaking with a jubilant Bryant, according to the report.

A repeat episode of 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!' was previously scheduled to air tonight. Kimmel had been producing specials that led in to the games for ABC.

Thursday's game featured a cavalcade of stars in the crowd, including Kim and Khloe Kardashian (Khloe is marred to the Lakers player Lamar Odom), Hilary Swank, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Dustin Hoffman, Usher, Jack Nicholson, Jake Gyllenhaal and singer Fergie.

Bryant, named the series MVP, had been the focal point of the Lakers. The win secured his fifth championship with the team.
