Contempt of Court on 'Lie to Me' (VIDEO)

Contempt of Court on 'Lie to Me'What if you had to appear in court, and were sworn to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth? And then what if you were a master of uncovering lies?

[Spoiler alert.]

On 'Lie to Me' (Mon., 8PM ET on Fox), Dr. Cal Lightman (Tim Roth) is summoned to court. There, he must testify in a case involving a sexy widow who is accused of murdering her billionaire husband.

But once he's in the courthouse, Cal can't help himself. He starts analyzing the people in the jury box. He accuses one jury member of being "high as a kite," says that two others are "having an affair," and then mentions that one of the other jurors has a "serious foot fetish." Seconds after this, the judge gets really pissed off at him. Soon enough, Cal is thrown out of court.

Dr. Lightman is a master of seeing the truth as it is revealed in people's faces. Still, there are good times to accuse others of lying, and there are bad times. This might have been a bad time.

Did Cal do the right thing by exposing the jurors' secrets? Or did he go too far?
