CBS Has 'Mad Love' for New Comedy in Midseason

by Jason Hughes, posted Jun 29th 2010 7:00PM
Sarah ChalkeCBS has picked up 'Mad Love' for midseason, according to The Hollywood Reporter, which is very good news for four very good reasons. The sitcom is headlined by four very hilarious people.

One of the leads is Jason Biggs, who scored big a decade ago with the 'American Pie' franchise, while another lead, Sarah Chalke, has made us laugh on 'Scrubs' for almost 10 years.

They're joining forces with a couple of faces who always bring laughs, but who just haven't found their breakout roles yet. Judy Greer cracked us up on ABC's short-lived 'Miss/Guided,' and has kept busy with plenty of guest roles, including a standout role as Phil's horny ex on 'Modern Family.'

'Mad Love' marks the fourth starring role in a row for Tyler Labine. You can see him now on Fox, as the network burns off the final episodes of 'Sons of Tucson.' It joins 'Invasion' and 'Reaper' in the past for Labine, while he looks to a hopeful future on CBS.

The network describes the series as dealing with four single friends living in New York City, two who are falling for each other and two who despise one another. While details may be light, we couldn't be more excited about the strength of the assembled cast.

I will follow Sarah Chalke to anything...except that miserable Lifetime movie she did.
