The cast of NBC's 'The Event,' coming to Comic-Con 2010 in San DiegoTelevision fans attending this year's Comic-Con now have one more preview to look forward to. According to Coming Soon, NBC will premiere the pilot episode of its new conspiracy thriller 'The Event' later this month in San Diego, followed by a Q&A with the cast and producers.

The plot is difficult to decipher from the description on NBC's site and the official trailer, but we do know that it revolves around an attack on the U.S., which has something to do with a group of prisoners held in secret by the C.I.A., and a man whose fiancée disappears while the couple is on vacation.
The Comic-Con panel will include stars Jason Ritter, Blair Underwood, Laura Innes, Sarah Roemer, Zeljko Ivanek and Ian Anthony Dale, as well as producers Evan Katz, Steve Stark, Jeffrey Reiner, Nick Wauters and Jim Wong.

Fox previously announced it will bring 11 shows to Comic-Con, including fan favorites 'The Simpsons' and 'The Family Guy,' and sneak peeks at 'Bob's Burgers' and the Steven Spielberg-produced 'Terra Nova.'

Other more recently announced guests at Comic-Con include authors Ray Bradbury and Rick Riordan, humorist Stan Freberg, and My Chemical Romance frontman and 'Umbrella Academy' writer Gerard Way.
