Is 'Beverly Hills 90210' resident Brian Austin Green moving to a new primetime 'hood, namely Wisteria Lane?Could be, as, according to TV Guide, Green is mulling an offer to join the cast of 'Desperate Housewives' as Keith, a new hunk who turns the heads of the women of Wisteria Lane.
Green, who married longtime girlfriend Megan Fox in Hawaii last month, turns 37 on July 15, but Keith is reportedly a 30-year-old man who could be a new romantic partner for Gaby (Eva Longoria Parker) or, more likely, Bree (Marcia Cross).
A role on 'DH' would mark Green's first regular primetime gig since he played Derek Reese on 'Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.' He's also had a recurring guest role as John Corben/Metallo on 'Smallville,' guest starred on 'CSI: Miami' and co-starred with Freddie Prinze, Jr. in the short-lived ABC sitcom 'Freddie' during the 2005-06 season.
Green -- geeky school DJ-turned-ladies man David Silver on the original '90210' -- has also parlayed his recent TV comeback into a string of movie roles, including the action flick 'Urgency,' the indie horror movie 'Last Stop' with Mena Suvari and 'Warehouse 13' star Joanne Kelly, and 'The Sandy Creek Girls,' a fact-based drama about a small-town girls high school basketball team that wins a state championship, that also stars Dean Cain and Jennifer Lopez ex Cris Judd.
As for 'Housewives,' the show's upcoming seventh season was originally plotted to be the show's final season, though series creator Marc Cherry signed an extension that will keep the show on the air through at least season nine. (Lead actresses Cross, Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman and Longoria Parker are currently only signed to the show through season seven).
And what we know about season seven so far:
- 'My Big Fat Greek Wedding' star Lainie Kazan has been offered the role of Mike and Susan's neighbor at their new apartment home, according to TVGuide.com.
- 'Ugly Betty' star Vanessa Williams has joined the cast, and is rumored to be playing a former college pal of Lynette's.
- Kyle MacLachlan, as Orson, may return for an episode or two, to wrap up his storyline, but his character is definitely out, leaving Bree to start a whole new life for herself. Dana Delany and Drea de Matteo are gone, as well.
- Harriet Sansom Harris, who played the deliciously wicked Felicia Tilman, will also return as part of the storyline to explain how and why Paul Young (Mark Moses), who'll be renting Susan and Mike's house, is out of jail and returning to Wisteria Lane. Oh, with his new wife. Beth, in tow ...
