British 'Choir' Kids Audition for China's Choir OlympicsOn the series premiere of 'The Choir' (Wed., 10PM ET on BBCA), Gareth Malone wants to take his British school chorus to China for the Choir Olympics. The rag-tag group of teens from underprivileged neighborhoods has a month to pull together a song for the audition CD.

While practicing Elton John's "Can You Feel the Love Tonight," Malone admits, "OK ... I would not buy a CD of that."

But the end result is "a fair and honest record of how the choir was singing on that day ... [with] some great moments on it and a couple of not-so-great moments."

Regardless, one mother is brought to tears when she hears the recording. Now for a two-month wait for the judges' decision.
