The Show Girl Talks 'Covert Affairs,' Shark Week & Tony Robbins (VIDEO)

'Covert Affairs' stars Chris Gorham & Piper PeraboAre you still looking for a sexy new summer TV show? Let me officially recommend 'Covert Affairs.' It's fun and 'Alias'-ish with a pretty impressive cast. Not enough? Let stars Piper Perabo and Christopher Gorham sell you on it then.

If your tastes lean more toward the feel-good uplifting kind of shows, self-help guru Tony Robbins will motivate you to watch his new specials 'Breakthrough with Tony Robbins' because, in his words, it isn't "namby-pamby B.S." (In my words, the man takes everyone to Fiji to relax and refocus. Where do I volunteer?) I also have a TV event that, at this point, needs very little promotion: Shark Week! What can I say, I'm a fan.

Want more? E-mail me TV questions at TheTVShowGirl@aol.com and I'll try to get you answers on the show. -- By Maggie Furlong

White sharks live worldwide in cool, coastal waters and it is the only species in California that presents a significant danger to humans. The initial attack is so rapid and so forceful that the victim is often lifted from the water, then released, after which the shark typically waits for the victim to bleed to death before attempting to consume it.

I watched the show yesterday, very weak all around. The characters are just not believable. The writing was so-so. Might as well pull the plug now, it has no appeal

I tried giving Covert Affairs a look. Gave it up after about 5 minutes. Previews led me to believe it would be more interesting from the start. Should have started with a bang to keep and hold interest then moved into the character build up. Other way around just didn't get it done.
