Betty White Fever Continues With Guest Spot on 'Community'

Betty WhiteTime to hop on board or jump off the track, because Betty White's runaway train of success shows no sign of slowing down; fresh on the heels of a 'Hot in Cleveland' renewal, America's golden girl has just landed a guest spot on NBC's 'Community'.

According to the Live Feed, the 88 year-old will guest star in the season premiere of the Thursday night comedy when it returns for its sophomore year in the fall. She'll reportedly play professor June Bauer, an esteemed, albeit slightly unhinged, anthropology professor opposite Joel McHale.

In addition to the guest spot and 'Cleveland' role, White is also a commercial break staple thanks to Snickers, a calendar girl, recipient of the Screen Actor's Guild Lifetime Achievement Award 2010, and her episode of 'Saturday Night Light' just picked up six Emmy nods -- all in the space of a few months.

As TLF points out, White's appearance is certain to be a ratings boost for the underrated comedy, which has the unenviable position of airing opposite CBS' ratings juggernaut 'The Big Bang Theory' this fall.

'TBBT' averages around 14 million viewers to the 5 million of 'Community,' so it's unlikely than even White's appearance will have CBS shaking in their moon boots, but since neither network has announced their fall premiere dates yet, it remains to be seen whether White's episode will go head-to-head with the 'Big Bang' season opener.

Will you watch White on 'Community,' or does your loyalty belong to 'Big Bang'?
