Amber Tamblyn Checks Into 'House' This Fall
For several seasons, actress Amber Tamblyn had numerous conversations with God on the CBS series 'Joan of Arcadia.' Come September, she'll be interacting with one Dr. Gregory House, who is as far from godliness as possible. The Ausiello Files is reporting that Tamblyn, who recently portrayed a New York police detective on ABC's 'The Unusuals,' will be joining the cast of 'House' for a seven-episode stint. The actress will appear as a highly intelligent med student that House recruits for his diagnostic team. This, despite the fact that she isn't fully qualified to treat patients, let alone adjust to the unique mentoring style of Dr. House.
Tamblyn will be temporarily replacing actress Olivia Wilde, who plays Thirteen -- also known as Dr. Remy Hadley, on the show. Wilde took a leave of absence from 'House' in order to film the action-fantasy 'Cowboys & Aliens.'
The seventh season of 'House' bows on Mon., Sept. 20th, at 8PM. No word as to when Tamblyn will begin her run on the show.
