'Grey's Anatomy' Prescribes a Dose of James Tupper

James TupperWe're pretty sure that a hospital full of traumatized surgeons isn't great for busines, so we're glad to report that 'Grey's Anatomy' will be bringing a trauma counselor into the fold, in order to pick up the pieces following last season's bloody hostage situation.

And according to the Ausiello Files, that piece picker-upper is none other than dreamy James Tupper, the 'Men in Trees' star who already has fictional medical experience thanks to NBC's dearly departed 'Mercy'.

According to Ausiello, Tupper's role is that of Dr. Andrew Perkins; he's in line to appear in at least two episodes with, we presume, the chance to return should his character prove popular or have chemistry with one of our dysfunctional Seattle Grace residents.

'Grey's' returns for season 7 on Sept. 23 in an episode apparently titled 'With You I'm Born Again'. Just as long as Shonda Rhimes avoids any more ghostly visitations and near-death-experiences, we're sure that it'll be must-see TV.

and to those who cancelled Mercy...you suck. NEVER leave such a cliffhanger and then cancel a show...how rude!
