Dwyane Wade's father wanted his sons to be successful -- in song and dance, not basketball. "I didn't play basketball that much," explained Wade on 'The Tonight Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC). "He used to make me sing and rap and dance." As a result, Wade and his brothers wrote "kiddie raps." The Miami Heat pro nervously shared the opening lines of a rap they put together when he was 8 years old. The Wade clan clearly wasn't thinking about being the next Jackson 5: This little ditty was about basketball.
Then Jay Leno asked whether there were any other new additions to the Miami Heat. Wade pulled a jersey out from behind the couch with Leno's name on it. But he said, "If you didn't wanta play, I was thinking--" and then pulled off a strip of tape to reveal "Rickles."
Wade handed the jersey to Don Rickles, sitting next to him. The basketball player got a pretty big laugh from the 84-year-old legendary comedian.
