I like this quote:

"I'm not going to let a woman talk to me like that!"

I love all of the scenes between Roger and Joan, but my favorite was when Roger called Joan after his daughter's wedding. He tries so hard to hide his "heart" from people, but he lets it show (in his Roger way) many times with Joan.

"I'll tell you the same thing I told my daughter. If you put a penny in a jar every time you make love in the first year of marriage, and then you take a penny out of the jar every time you make love in the second year, you know what you have? A jar full of pennies." Whoa, Roger you are really cynical. He is a ruthless guy and he is the type that wonder if he will ever get in touch with his humanity. I find him a great character to follow and am always waiting for one of those Roger remarks.

"He might lose his foot!" then Roger says, "Just when he got it in the door..."

Favorite Roger moment has to be at his daughter Margaret's wedding when everything that can go wrong has and he's making the toast and says "To my first-wife Mona, you are a lioness...and thank you for not eating your cub!" It was Roger at his finest that episode---keeping it all together, being warm, being witty, being sincere when he calls Joannie and says I had to talk to you.

Has to be when he says, "just when he got his foot in the door" in "Guy Walks into an Advertising Agency."

Roger's had so many excellent lines, but the moment that sticks out for me is when he threw up in front of the Nixon campaigners due to a big lunch and a broken elevator.

My favorite scene of Roger's is when he's complaining about having an ulcer while pouring vodka into his glass of milk. Class - pure class.

Roger has an amazing about of one-liners, but I love when he compares Joan to Marilyn Monroe. While all of the other women can be classified as either a Jackie Kennedy or a Marilyn, he says "Marilyn is a Joan." Classic.
