Leno Scares Chelsea Handler with Snakes But Buys Her a Horse (VIDEO)

There's one animal that absolutely terrifies Chelsea Handler: snakes. Jay Leno had just such a surprise for her when she visited 'The Tonight Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on NBC). The comedienne was visibly unnerved, and countered with an insult. But they made up when Leno gave her a big present.

"I spoke to Dave [Salmoni] earlier today, and he sent these over for you," said Leno. At that, he pulled some snakes out from behind his desk. He held them out to her, completely unfazed.

Handler jumped, and appeared horrified. "No! Those are the gross ones!" she said, her voice quivering. "I'm going to vomit or go to the bathroom ... I don't like the skinny ones -- put it over there!" Once the host put them away, she said, "By the way, that's the manliest thing I've ever seen you do."

Despite the insult, Leno brought out a gift that would go perfectly in her home's empty stables. All was forgiven.
