News Roundup: Andrea Roth Joins 'Blue Bloods,' Katheryn Winnick Heads to 'Bones' and More

Andrea Roth'Rescue Me' star Andrea Roth has joined the cast of CBS's cop drama 'Blue Bloods.'

According to Ausiello Files, Roth will replace Wendy Moniz who had the role in the pilot, but was dropped for creative reasons. Roth's character is the love interest for Tom Selleck's Frank Reagan.

'Blue Bloods' follows the Reagans, a family of New York cops at different career points within the police force. The show premieres Fri., Sept. 24 at 10PM on CBS.

In other TV news, Booth gets a new [SPOILER] on 'Bones,' a GSN host departs her series and more after the jump.

Carnie Wilson is leaving her hosting duties on GSN's 'The Newlywed Game,' People.com reports. GSN has yet to name a replacement. Wilson also appeared on other GSN shows such as 'GSN Live' and 'Carnie Wilson: Unstapled.'

"Carnie Wilson has been a member of the GSN family for the last two years," a GSN rep told People. "She will be pursuing other opportunities and we wish her the very best in all her endeavors."

Booth's got a brand new girl and she'll be around for a handful of episodes this coming season.

Katheryn Winnick has been tapped to play Ashley, a war correspondent who Booth meets abroad. Ashley follows Booth back to Washington and, well, I think you can guess what happens next ... drama. Ausiello Files is reporting that the Ashley character will make her debut on the Sept. 23 season premiere.

Fans may recognize Winnick from 'House,' 'CSI' and this spring's 'Killers' starring Ashton Kutcher and Katherine Heigl.

• Evan Ross, son of music legend Diana Ross, will heat up '90210' this season. According to Fancast, Ross will play Charlie, a literary buff who helps form a love triangle with Annie. Ross will make his first appearance in the second episode of the new season that premieres Mon., Sept. 13 at 8PM ET.

'Rome' Indira Varma is joining the cast of Fox's 'Human Target' as a series regular. LiveFeed reports that Varma will play Ilsa, a wealthy widow who purchases Christopher Chance's protection agency and becomes his superior. Word is she'll give them access to her finances, but also be one tough boss.
