Drake BellNickelodeon has tapped Drake Bell, Cheryl Hines, Jason Alexander and Steven Weber to star in a live-action TV movie version of the hit cartoon 'The Fairly Oddparents.'

According to TVGuide.com, Bell will play Timmy and Hines and Alexander will be his fairy godparents, Wanda and Cosmo. Weber is set to play the villain, an oil tycoon who tries to steal Cosmo and Wanda away from Timmy. The film, 'A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow Up Timmy Turner!' finds an older Timmy still in the fifth grade, refusing to grow up.

"It's so much fun to see our animated characters come to life," Marjorie Cohn, president of programming at Nickelodeon, said in a statement. "And who better to bring grown up Timmy Turner to life than Drake Bell, who himself grew up on our air and still remains one of our most popular Nick stars ever."

-- Alan Ball has found his next heartthrob. British actor Ben Whishaw has been tapped to star in Ball's HBO pilot 'All Signs of Death.' Deadline Hollywood is reporting that Whishaw will play Webster Filmore Goodhue in the adaptation of Charlie Huston's noir novel 'The Mystic Arts of Erasing All Signs of Death.'

Whishaw's Webster is described as a twenty-something slacker who somehow manages to build a career as a crime scene cleaner. As a result, he finds himself entangled in all aspects of noir: a murder mystery, ghosts from his past and of course, a femme fatale. Huston wrote the pilot episode with Ball serving as executive producer and director of the pilot.
