But that's not all that's going on! Check out what's been happening around the dial with our weekly Soap casting wrap-up.Brady Bunch-er Tries Soap Work
Here's a story, about a girl named Susan ... Actually, it's Susan Olsen, the actress we all know best as Cindy Brady on the 1960's sitcom 'The Brady Bunch.' This is a photo of Susan as she looks now. Olsen will be doing a guest turn on 'The Young and the Restless,' playing a character named Mrs. Liza Morton. Liza is the owner of a pre-school where J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) and Victoria's (Amelia Heinle) son Reed goes.
Adios, Arianna
Actress Lindsay Hartley has been given her notice from 'Days of Our Lives.' Her character, Arianna -- who's been on the hook for a series of assaults (she didn't do it) -- will be getting off and leaving Salem. Hartley, who was previously on 'Passions,' was on 'Days' for a little less than a year.
No, No for Noah
On 'Y&R,' you may have been wondering when Sharon (Sharon Case) and Nick's (Joshua Morrow) son Noah would be returning from Paris. You're not alone. The actor who's played the role, Kevin G. Schmidt, has announced that his 'Y&R' days are behind him. On Twitter, Schmidt tweeted: "I have not [been] asked to return as Noah Newman. A huge thank you to the cast and crew. Onward and upwards!" Schmidt will soon be starring in the new Cartoon Network series, 'UnNatural History.'
Say Goodbye to Skye
It seems like Robin Christopher just got back to 'General Hospital' as Skye ... but her storyline is over. 'GH' has decided to wrap up Skye's acquisition of Alcazar's millions by giving her the money and shipping her out of Port Charles. The door remains open for Christopher to return in the future.
'One Life' Gets WarlockSoap veteran Billy Warlock is joining 'One Life to Live.' The actor, who has been on 'As the World Turns' of late as Anthony Blackthorn, will be playing Ross Rayburn. The previous Rayburn, Michael Lowry, last played the role but was unavailable for this return. Lowry's loss is Warlock's gain. Ross is expected to be back on 'One Life' in September.
A Tribute for Helen
On August 30 and 31, the death of actress Helen Wagner -- who passed away on May 1, 2010 -- will be addressed on 'As the World Turns.' Helen's character, Nancy Hughes, will succumb on Monday, August 30, and on Tuesday, August 31, the soap will then pay tribute to both actress and character with a full farewell episode.
According to 'ATWT' executive producer Chris Goutman, "Life and love and death and imminent loss will all be colliding at once but that's always been our town. It's the kind of storytelling 'ATWT' does best." Bob (Don Hastings) will find his mother has died when he goes to pick her up for a family event, having passed away peacefully at home from a lethal heart attack.
Rowe to Make Waves in Port CharlesActor Brad Rowe has been cast on 'General Hospital' as a hot, Hollywood movie star. He's going to be playing Murphy Sinclair, an internationally famous movie star who is involved with Brenda Barrett. Rowe is best known as Sean Hayes' costar in "Billy's Hollywood Screen Kiss." Brad's first airdate on the show -- with Brenda, naturally -- is August 13.
Ty Returns to Soaps
The former host of SoapNet's 'Soap Talk,' Ty Treadway, is coming back to the soap world. Treadway's been cast on 'Days of Our Lives' as Dr. Jason Walters. He's scheduled to start filming in August and appearing on screen in early September. By the way, this is the second time Ty's played a doctor on TV. In 2000, he was Dr. Colin MacIver on 'One Life to Live'
