Jason Priestley, Luke Perry Partner Up for TV Western

Luke Perry and Jason PriestlyIt's a mini-'Beverly Hills, 90210' reunion, but it's taking place in the old West. According to Deadline Hollywood, the '90s teen drama's two chief heartthrobs, Luke Perry and Jason Priestley, are reuniting to make a TV western.

The two pardners will team up for 'Goodnight for Justice,' to be made for the Hallmark Movie Channel. Perry, who came up with the idea, will star in and executive produce the TV movie, which Priestley will direct.

The story is about an old West circuit judge named John Goodnight, who's hunting down the desperadoes who killed his family. Perry reportedly envisioned the tale as the first in a trilogy.

The script is by Neal and Tippi Dobrofsky, who wrote another Hallmark western movie, 2008's 'Mail Order Bride,' starring Daphne Zuniga (who, of course, was one of the stars of the 'Beverly Hills, 90210' spinoff 'Melrose Place' in the '90s). Filming on 'Goodnight' begins August 4 in Vancouver, with an eye toward a 2011 air date.

Perry and Priestley are no strangers to adventures out on the lone prairie, thanks to experiences logged on 'Beverly Hills, 90210.' There was the time Perry's Dylan, under hypnosis, regressed to a past life as an old-West outlaw. And there was the frontier adventure involving Dylan and Priestley's Brandon excerpted in the clip below:
