If the thought of Lindsay Lohan's sitting alone in a jail cell has been getting you down, this news might cheer you up: According to the Ausiello Files, the season premiere of 'Medium' will borrow from kiddie classic 'Freaky Friday' (no word on whether it's inspired by Lohan's beloved 2003 remake of the movie or the original version.)

Executive producer Glenn Gordon Caron told Ausiello, "The season premiere is basically 'Freaky Friday,' which is to say Allison becomes her 13-year-old daughter Bridgette, and Bridgette becomes her thirtysomething mother Allison."

'Medium' fended off a likely cancellation last season -- even Caron thought it would be over after season 6 -- but CBS decided not to pull the plug after all. Memorably, the season finale featured Allison Dubois dying -- which, as it turns out, was all a dream.

"I did that because I thought it might be the end," he told Ausiello. "The problem with the way the business works is the decision to renew or not renew comes very late -- well past when the script is due. So I wanted the episode to have some sense of finality."

As for the season 7 finale, Caron hasn't gotten that far yet. "I have no idea," he admitted. "I'm still trying to figure out episode 5."
