'Dirty Dancing' star Jennifer Grey has made an appointment with 'House.'According to Ausiello Files, Grey will play Abbey, a mom whose infant daughter may be life-threatening ill.
Look for Grey's character to be faced with a treatment decision that might affect her and her baby's life.
The episode is slated to air in mid-October. 'House' returns Mon., Sept. 20 on Fox.

• Melina Kanakaredes won't be returning to send her character off, but that won't stop the team behind 'CSI: NY' from sending her character off in style. "We're giving her a noble exit," Zachary Reiter, co-executive producer, told Auisello Files. "We chose not to go the route of killing her off or having her go missing. We felt that would weigh too heavily on the team."
Instead of a big dramatic exit, Kanakaredes' character will quietly have moved to New Orleans to run a lab. "[S]he picked that city because it's the city of Katrina, the city of BP oil, the city where people are looking for someone to lend a hand," Pam Veasey, showrunner of the series, told Michael Ausiello. "We wanted to do something that was respectful and made a lot of sense."
• If you're a fan of Oscar-nominated and Emmy-winner Laura Linney, then you're in for a big treat. Linney's new series, 'The Big C,' won't debut on Showtime until Thurs., Aug. 16 at 10:30PM ET, but it's out right now. Our friends over at Vulture have the first episode.
• BET has ordered a new comedy pilot from 'Girlfriends' star Tracee Ellis Ross. According to Deadline Hollywood, the show will follow psychiatrist Dr. Carla Reed (Ross) as she tries to balance her home life and work. Writer Kellie Griffin and Arthur Harris will co-executive produce the pilot.
• The CW debuted makeover show 'Plain Jane' to lackluster ratings. According to LiveFeed, 'Jane' received a preliminary rating of 0.4 among adults 18-49 and a million viewers overall.
• Vampire-hating Rev. Steve Newlin will be back on 'True Blood' this season. Mike McMillian told MTV the good reverend will be back, but couldn't divulge any other details. McMillian's character had a significant role in the second season of 'True Blood.' He captured Sookie and headed up the anti-vampire church Fellowship of the Sun.
