It appears Ricky Gervais will be joining Halle Berry this season on an episode of 'The Simpsons.' As we reported earlier, Bart and Homer will be traveling to Los Angeles to attend the Academy Awards. Of course, the father and son creative duo will need to bump into some celebrities while they are in town, and that's where Gervais comes in to play.

The Brit's first appearance on the show came in 2006 when he co-wrote the episode 'Homer Simpson, This is Your Wife,' and voiced a pathetic husband opposite Marge and Homer on a reality series. This time he'll be playing himself and will not be writing the episode. If it's half as funny as his guest role on this season of 'Louie,' we're all in for a treat.

Reportedly, 2011's season of 'The Simpsons' will also feature the voices of Jon Hamm, Paul Rudd, Daniel Radcliffe, Hugh Laurie, and Martha Stewart. The 22nd season of the show will premiere Sept. 26.
