Carol Burnett Joins 'Glee' as Sue Sylvester's Mom
Sue Sylvester, a legend in her own right, is getting one heck of a legendary actress to play her mom on Fox's 'Glee': Carol Burnett.The Emmy-winner has been tapped to play the cheerleading coach's mother on the hit musical comedy. According to Ausiello Files, Burnett's episode will air in October or November.
Over the course of the series, Sue Sylvester (Jane Lynch) has dropped a few hints about her mom. We know that she, along with an unseen father, was a Nazi-hunter who would go on adventures, leaving Sue to care for her sister.
Burnett has won six Emmys throughout her career and popped up on numerous TV shows, most recently 'Law and Order: SVU' and 'Desperate Housewives.' In 2009, Burnett appeared in the comedy 'Post Grad.'
The actress joins an already impressive list of guest stars for season 2. John Stamos, Kristin Chenoweth, Idina Menzel, Cheyenne Jackson, Charice, Chord Overstreet, Dot Jones and even Sir Paul McCartney are all confirmed or rumored to be popping up on the series.
