Letterman: Bill O'Reilly Is a Smart Guy Who Knows BetterIn the middle of a discussion with Rachel Maddow on the responsibilities of 24-hour cable news channels, David Letterman gave his two cents on Fox News political commentator Bill O'Reilly.

The host of the 'Late Show' (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS) said, "I have a theory about Bill O'Reilly -- smart guy and I think he knows better than what he's doing. But he's just found a place to make a living," said Letterman. "He's just doing this because that's where the money is. I don't think you can be as smart as he is and actually believe what he [says he] believes."

The MSNBC host listened politely but disagreed. "I don't know ... He got very upset with me. He called me a loon. I think loons are cute!"

The debate then ended abruptly when Letterman suggested they trade glasses.

Actually, it was the Democrats who were burning the crosses and filibustering the civil rights act and standing in the school house door! Abraham Lincoln and Martin Luther King were Republicans!
FOX ROX!
Boo CNN.
And if Rachel Maddow would take off the blinders she wouldn't need the godawful purple glasses.

Where's all this CNN hate coming from? I honestly don't understand...

It's not hate, it's disgust! I am a news junkie and was a CNN viewer for years but the 2008 election coverage and CNN's subsequent political coverage has been so obviously pro-progressive agenda that they have done a terrible disservice to mainstream America who is more right of center and whose views are at best under-represented on CNN or at worst mis-represented to the point of being a carricature of the views and beliefs of the majority of American citizens. CNN better get a clue and find a more balanced approach to the American political scene or they will be left in the dust of the new news media. We now have choices about where to get our news, and the American people are making that choice, in droves.
FOX is the #1 news organization because they are the ONLY news outlet not trying to spoon feed their viewers left-leaning progressive Democrat politics, which the majority of the people in this country do not, I repeat, do not agree with!
We don't need or want the big-government dictatorship that the Democrats are installing in Washington, and come November we're going to clean house, both houses.

Maddow deserves credit ever since winning the gymnastics Olympic gold medal for the USA as a young girl...

Rachel Madcow actually makes Rosie O'Donnell look attractive!!
Now, there's something you thought you'd never see: "Rosie O'Donnell" and "attractive" in the same sentence.
Remember, you saw it here first!
When Madcow and that other buffoon, Letterman, traded glasses, Dave was much prettier in her glasses.
I couldn't watch anymore; I had to go lose my lunch.

Incidentally, Letterman is not stupid. He's a malicious, lying, liberal scumbag, but he's not stupid. So, when he stated that Fox News had begun coverage of the Sherrod embroglio before she was forced to resign by the White House, he knew he was lying; Madcow knew he was lying; anyone with a functioning intellect knew he was lying, but the brain-dead toadies in his studio audience obeyed the "APPLAUSE" sign, like the brain-dead toadies that they are.

Very short and to the point, Atticus Draco. Thank God indeed. Rachel Maddow wah wah wah, such a cry baby, no wonder CNN is going down down down.

Protip: Before commenting, make sure what you're saying actually makes sense. Rachel Maddow works at MSNBC, not CNN.

Maddow's MSNBC is at the bottom of the barrel along with her cohort Keith Olberman and they sure resent Fox's ratings. These two lefties wouldn't know the truth if they fell over it. Thank goodness viewers can still see and hear political truths by watching Fox. These two misfits should get a life.

Maddow said "We (CNN) spent the whole day debunking" the USDA wonder. No wonder their ratings are so low. O'Reilly over-reached and was man enough to apologize - and not a "sorry I got caught" Horny Bill Clinton apology, a real one. No one on the left mentions that - now that is real yellow journalism
