Now, it's Ryan Seacrest's Turn to Talk 'American Idol' Judges
Another day, another non-answer about 'American Idol' from one of the show's stars. Ryan Seacrest told the Associated Press at 'Idol' auditions in New Jersey yesterday that it could be weeks until the entire judging lineup is confirmed, and that he doesn't know many people will be sitting at the table. Though there are two vacant seats to fill -- both Simon Cowell and Ellen DeGeneres are officially out -- the show's producers could choose to return to the old three-judge lineup for the tenth season.
Seacrest's comments are similar to those of 'Idol' judge Randy Jackson and FOX entertainment chairman Peter Rice, who both said nothing was set in stone other than Seacrest's contract.
Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler have been the most talked-about names in terms of replacement judges, but Rice said at FOX's TCA executive session Monday that he would prefer to announce all the season 10 news at once.
Tell us: Are you tired of this non-news? Would you like 'Idol' to just tell us the new judges, already?
