'Law & Order: Los Angeles' Goes Hollywood

Skeet Ulrich and Corey StollThere's nothing like a flashy Hollywood premiere.

NBC's new series, 'Law & Order; Los Angeles,' now has a title for its debut episode: 'Hollywood.' TV Guide reports that not only will the show's first hour tackle the darker side of the glitzy town, as creator Dick Wolf promised, it'll star some familiar faces. The crime that new detectives Rex (Skeet Ulrich) and Tomas (Corey Stoll) will be investigating surrounds a young actress named Chelsea (Danielle Panabaker) and a "wannabe actor" named Sam (Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn's son, Wyatt Russell).

According to TV Guide, "the villainous Manto" -- what a perfect evil guy name -- will be played by Oded Fehr ('The Mummy'), Chelsea's mom will be played by Shawnee Smith ('Saw') and Sam's dad will be played by Jim Beaver ('Supernatural').

Though it's not the signature ripped-from-the-headlines 'Law & Order' plot, everyone loves a Hollywood scandal. And with the original version of the show gone, viewers will need to direct their justice cravings to a new series. Let's just hope it won't go the way of 'Law & Order: Trial by Jury.' 'Law & Order: LOLA,' as it is affectionately being called, will premiere Sept. 29.
