Keith Olbermann Defends 'Professional Left' from Robert Gibbs, Calls White House 'Amateur Left' (VIDEO)

White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs has caused a stir by lashing out at the "professional left," a collection of bloggers and cable news personalities who he believes is too hard on the Obama administration. Keith Olbermann, an implied member of this cabal, responded to Gibbs on Tuesday's 'Countdown With Keith Olbermann' (weeknights, 8PM ET on MSNBC.)
Being Olbermann, he managed to fill a good deal of his "special comment" with wordy and hyperbolic attacks on conservatives. In fact, one of his main criticisms of Obama is that the president is too quick to seek common ground with the "professional right," which Olbermann deems mindless and evil.
"If you fall under the trap of ... the false equivalency of MSNBC and Fox News you are going to spend the rest of your time in the White House curled up in churlish ball in the corner wondering what happened to your encore," Olbermann sneered.
"Because if there is a professional left it's only because, on a day like today, the White House has seemed more like the amateur left," the former sportscaster closed with a zing.
