Casting Roundup: Marcia Gay Harden Returns to 'Law and Order: SVU,' Jack Black Coming to 'iCarly' and More

Marcia Gay HardenMarcia Gay Harden is picking up her gun and badge once again to reprise her role on 'Law and Order: SVU.'

Harden will play Dana Lewis in the eighth episode of this season. The character first appeared in 2005, and Harden received an Emmy nomination for a guest spot on the series in 2007. The character was last seen in season 8.

Harden has appeared on a handful of episodes of USA Network's 'Royal Pains.' [TV Guide]

In other casting news ...

Jack Black has signed on to appear in an episode of Nickelodeon's 'iCarly.' The funnyman has been tapped to play Jeremy's video game nemesis Aspartamay. The two will meet at the show's fictional convention, Webicon. 'iCarly' star Miranda Cosgrove appeared in Black's 2003 flick 'School of Rock.' [Ausiello Files]

General Lane and Lucy are heading back to 'Smallville.' Michael Ironside and Peyton List are set to reprise their respective roles in an October episode of the hit series. The two characters were both last seen in separate episodes in season 4. [TV Guide]

'Skins' star Joe Dempsie has been cast in HBO's 'Game of Thrones.' Dempsie will play Gendry, an amourer's apprentice, in the fantasy epic premiering sometime next spring. [ScreenTerrier]

Edwin Hodge will guest star on The CW's 'One Tree Hill.' Hodge has been tapped to play a car accident victim -- he was texting while driving -- who meets Clay in the hospital. Viewers may recognize Hodge from 'Leverage,' and 'Jack & Bobby.' [TV Guide]
