Alanis Morissette's Role on 'Weeds' Was Her Idea -- Sort Of (VIDEO)

She will indeed reprise her role and "hang out" with the Botwins. However, Morissette couldn't say much more about the new season. She explained, "I want it to be kept secret from me, because I'm a fan."

So much of a fan that she pursued 'Weeds' creator Jenji Kohan for a place on the show. She told Kohan, "I had this thought that maybe there could be some compassionate female energy on the show, because they're really hardcore with each other. And she said, 'Funny you should say that ... We have this idea for a character."

Morissette auditioned, and it was "a slam-dunk moment."
