Jimmy Fallon's 'Mad Men' Videos Pulled Until Emmy Voting Finishes

NBC pulls 'Mad Men'-inspired Emmy promo spotsIs Jimmy Fallon the next Don Draper? We'll have to wait until after Aug. 17 to find out. That's the day when Emmy voting closes, and, according to the Hollywood Reporter, when it will be safe for NBC to air its 'Mad Men'-style Emmy promo starring Emmy host Fallon as Draper and Christina Hendricks as Joan Harris.

You may have seen the first of NBC's three 'Mad Men' spoofs promoting its Emmy broadcast if you were watching the network Wednesday night. But AMC's 'Mad Men' is up for 17 Emmys, and NBC has no plans to produce spots that spoof the other shows in the best drama series category. Since voting is still open, some see the 'Mad Men' promo as giving the show an unfair edge.

The Reporter quotes one rep as saying, "Are they kidding? They're running basically ads for 'Mad Men' in the middle of the voting process. That's like having a presidential campaign and running an ad for one candidate. It's outrageous."

Don Draper and Roger Sterling would be proud.

NBC admits the ad ran too early, and they have pulled it from the airwaves and online. It will resurface when voting closes. The primetime Emmy broadcast will air Aug. 29 on NBC.

Fallon represents the decline of SNL and now the decline of late night talk shows. Network TV seems to celebrate mediocrity these days.

Why aren't these board monitored so that these idiots like lisaromance, and all of "her" ilk will have their postings deep-sixed before allowed to take up space? Then maybe they would go and find someother outlet for their annoying, pitiful messages.
Come on AOL get your s*** together.
