There was some fascinating casting news this week, including one actress replaced before she even filmed a scene! But there's also a new actor joining 'The Young and the Restless' as well as an old fave who's going to return to Genoa City for some very special episodes.

Stacy Gets Conflicted
It's been a tumultuous couple of months for actress Stacy Haiduk. No sooner had she wrapped her dual role as Patty and Emily on 'The Young and the Restless,' but then she was cast on 'Days of Our Lives' as a prison warden.

Stacy was supposed to appear in early September, but before she was able to film anything, a conflict arose and Stacy has been replaced on 'Days.' She tweeted the news, saying, "For all you guys out there who were all set to watch me on 'Days,' I have some bad news. 'Days' has dropped me. It all started when I booked a guest spot on a new show for Fox, 'Ride-Along.' The show will shoot in Chicago and I have to leave town for that. There was a conflict in scheduling so Fox pushed me to their second week. But when one day was still in conflict, instead of working things out 'Days' decided to drop me."

'Days' issued a response, explaining, "Due to scheduling conflicts for Stacy Haiduk, the role of 'Warden Smith' will now be played by Gina Gallego. Gina will appear on 'Days' in the beginning of October. We are huge fans of Stacy's and would love to have her back on 'Days' in the future if something becomes available.

A New Noah of Y&R
A few weeks back, we reported that actor Kevin G. Schmidt would not be resuming his role as Noah Newman on 'The Young and the Restless.' Fortunately, Kevin's got a good role on a Cartoon Network's 'Unnatural History,' which has opened the door for soap newcomer Luke Kleintank to join 'Y&R' as Noah.

When we last saw Noah, he was going to high school in Paris. The new Noah is going to be a bit older, not an unusual development for a soap kid. By the way, if Kleintank looks familiar, it might be because he appeared on 'Gossip Girl.'

'Bones' Snags Lisa LoCicero
'General Hospital's' Lisa LoCicero has landed a juicy guest role on Fox's 'Bones.' It sounds like something right up her alley. The actress, who's been playing Olivia on 'GH,' will be playing a character named Janine Genaro, a New Jersey type who could be mistaken for one of the 'Real Housewives of NJ.'

More 'Y&R' Moves: Driscoll Out, Bierdz Back
Longtime fan fave, Thom Bierdz, is making a return to 'Y&R.' The actor tweeted that he'll be returning to the show for a few episodes ... and they're going to be intense. He wrote, "...there will be many emotions going on from many characters!" Insiders are guessing that his return coincides with 'Y&R' axing John Driscoll.

The Internet has been buzzing for week's about Driscoll's exit because his character, Chance, is reportedly going to be killed off. The show, clearly, would like to keep that under wraps, but facts are facts, and Driscoll is out. As Chance's father, Thom Bierdz would be back to say goodbye to his son.
