The '90210' Character Who's Coming Out Is ...

Those rumors about one of the male characters on The CW's '90210' coming out this season? All true, as it turns out, and -- SPOILER WARNING -- if you don't want to know who it is, stop reading now.

Still here? It's Teddy! Actor Trevor Donovan, who portrays the tennis-playing, Silver-dating Teddy, has confirmed to JustJared.com that his character will have a male love interest this season.

"It was cool when they came to me with it," Donovan says. "I was honored, flattered that they thought I could take on something like this and handle it in the way it's being written, and what we shot so far is done very, very smart, very intelligent. It's really going to deal with [Teddy's] inner turmoil, the battle, and the struggles for self acceptance that I don't think gets addressed enough."

And for those who think the storyline is coming out (no pun intended) of left field, Donovan says it's being handled more deftly than that. "It's not an immediate thing, and it's not a cut and dry situation; there's going to be a gray area, a transition."

Michael Steger's Navid and Matt Lanter's Liam were the other characters rumored to be among the characters who might be coming out on the 'Beverly Hills 90210' remake, but Zap2It reported earlier this week that Teddy Montgomery, the son of Hollywood star Spence Montgomery (Ryan O'Neal), ex-boyfriend of Adrianna and, as of the season 2 finale, the current boyfriend of Erin Silver, would be at the center of the coming out storyline.

Meanwhile, EW.com also has scoop on the actor who'll play Teddy's love interest: Broadway star and Canadian pop singer Kyle Riabko, who just joined the cast of 'Hair' on Broadway, and was the replacement for 'Glee' star Jonathan Groff in the Tony Award-winning musical 'Spring Awakening.'

The third season of '90210' premieres Sept. 13 in its new Mondays at 8PM time slot, and will reportedly kick off with an episode that includes an earthquake and the death of at least one character.
