You know those crazy tabloids that report out-there stories, like "Luke Perry seen hanging out with the ghost of Elvis at Area 51"? Well, did you know there are fact-checkers who have to "verify" those stories? That's the premise of NBC's new web series, 'FCU: Fact-Checkers Unit,' based on the short film of the same name.
'FCU' follows fictional Dictum magazine employees Russell and Dylan as they check the facts for various stories. Creators Peter Karinen and Brian Sacca also play the main characters.
According to the LA Times, look for Luke Perry, Donald Faison and 'Flight of the Conchords' star Kristen Schaal in the first three episodes, available now.
Other guest stars in the upcoming five- to six-minute episodes include Alex Trebek, Dave Navarro, Jon Heder, Pauly Perrette and Zach Gilford. You can check out 'FCU' right here and below.
'FCU' is just one of NBC.com's original shows. 'In Gayle We Trust' is back for a new season, and 'Dial Star' launched earlier this summer.
