Jemmye Opens Up About Her Abusive Past on 'The Real World'In order for healing to begin, you have to be able to share your pain with others. Which is what takes place on the latest 'Real World' (Wed., 10PM ET on MTV).

Previously on the show, Jemmye revealed that she was in a physically violent relationship for more than a year. On tonight's episode, the young lady is still suffering flashbacks from the relationship. She drinks too much, then falls down naked on the floor, while mumbling about her abusive ex-boyfriend. Next, Jemmye goes on a drunken rampage, randomly smashing objects.

Housemate Knight decides that enough is enough, and takes Jemmye to a women's shelter -- where she is finally able to discuss the abuse done to her. And after that, Jemmye calls her mom on the phone. While talking to her mother, she shares her past history of domestic violence.

Jemmye's mom is very supportive. "Whatever happens in your life, you can always tell me," she says to her daughter.

Why is she the sicko? The creep that abused her is the sicko. It takes a lot of courage to talk about something so painful. Since this is a show watched by a primarily younger audience, hopefully it will give others being abused the courage to confide in a trusted person in their life and get help.

this sicko has no business being a spectacle on tv; she should be institutionalized..."didn't plan on telling anybody"? no, only a national tv audience...

Until you have been in that situation and have had the crap beat out of you, a gun coming at you, don't dare call her a sicko. She never said anything because she was made to feel it was her fault. She was scared and acting out because of it. I lived that situation so you can take your sicko comment and stick it.

you call her a sicko but it's people like you who are delusional enough to think it was her fault when in reality, it is her ex's fault. She is a young girl who is still learning who she is, real world or not. READ SOME PSYCHOLOGY and you will know that when you keep anxiety in, it will manifest in other aspects of your life.
