Matt Blindsides Brendon, Uses the "Diamond Veto" on 'Big Brother' (VIDEO)

Matt Blindsides Brendon, Uses the 'Diamond Veto' on 'Big Brother'"Better luck next time, you big dummy." These are Matt's words to Brendon on the latest episode of 'Big Brother' (Thu., 8PM ET on CBS). To be fair, we don't want to necessarily endorse what Matt said. Although Brendon is kind of a big dummy -- so, yeah, maybe we will just go with that.

[Spoiler alert.]

Brendon is continuing his campaign of terror as Head of Household. He's still enraged that the other housemates kicked off his skanky semi-girlfriend Rachel, and he's lashing out at anyone and everyone. Now, Matt and Lane are up on the dreaded elimination block. ... But then, Matt unleashes the magical DIAMOND POWER OF VETO.

The "Diamond Veto" is the coveted secret weapon that Matt has been holding onto. It allows him to remove himself from elimination -- and to put another contestant in his place. Before revealing the "Diamond," Matt makes a long mean speech to Brendon -- calling him out for his faults. This would be pretty rude, except that Brendon is actually fairly awful; so it's hard to feel that bad about the whole thing.

With Matt made invulnerable by the "Diamond Veto," he chooses to nominate ... Kathy in his place. Kathy is either the "nice one," or the "boring one," depending on your point of view. She's sort of slipped past the whole elimination process up to this point, mostly by virtue of being fairly unobtrusive.

But now, the cast members kick her out of the house, by a unanimous vote of 5-0. Kathy accepts her dismissal graciously and pleasantly. As she leaves, she merely asks the other contestants to remember to feed her fish. She reminds them that they need to be fed "twice a day."

Aw! Good old Kathy. But now she's gone.

Do you think someone else should have been kicked off, or was Kathy the right choice?

Anyone who would tell a lie like Matt has told deserves nothing. He is the lowest of the shoe scum. Brendon is not thinking with the head on his shoulders. Brittany is a spoiled brat who will throw a temper tantrum and lie to get her way. Ragan is a disgrace to the human population, he talks crap for the way Rachael acted and turns around and does the exact same thing. Enzo is what it is, acting exactly the way street members do. Kathy played the weak act one too many times. Lane is too laid back and expects to be carried, hence why he works for his father in real life. The only one deserving to win is Hayden, he is playing the game but doesn't taunt others or trash them like the rest of them do constantly and he shows compassion for others. His parents raised him right, can't say the same for Matt, Ragan and Brittany, all three of them deserve to win the "most awful player award of $1.00" and nothing else. As for production, someone has to tell these idiots when to walk and when to talk, otherwise they would sit and do what they do best, nothing.

I've watched BB for several seasons but this will be my last. I agree with the majority of the above that this season is by far the worst in so many ways. Matt lying (wife supporting it in her letter) is sad and pathetic but guess it's the ONLY way he could win. What's a matter Matt can't come up with an idea of your own or a strategy that doesn't make people feel sorry for you?? Brit/Ragan are a classic as the school bullies and how it's only OK if they do the bashing - this is a real LOW given the headlines in the news about kids being bullied in school and what could happen. What's worse is I think BB plays a HUGE part in this process and perpetuates this behavior. Rachel/Brendon albeit not the best in the social game but at least What You See is What You Get. They played hard and tried to Win the honest way. The Brigade, other than forming on Day 1 NOTHING!! I can't wait till they all see themselves on TV and squirm watching I know I would. BB is a game first and foremost but Production you can't be so obvious in your favoritism of who you want to WIN that we can all see it so clearly. Overall this season is why we should all say ENOUGH of reality shows and that humiliating and degrading people is not acceptable even for the $$$$$ - take heed CBS I think you blew it with this group. For every Action there's a consequence

i agree that this season has been somewhat boring, unless of course you like watching enzo scratch his nuts and then smell his hand, which he is constantly doing on after dark. i am so glad that raghel is gone from the house so we dont have to watch the sickening kissie kissie between her and brendon. now we need the love sick dummy to leave so he can go find a real life, although that may not happen since he sees nothing in front of his face but rachel. as for the brigade, i cant believe they are all so dumb that they have not figured out that alliance. you all want to bash matt for what he said about his wives illness but that doesnt bother me near as bad as the alliance being so quick to want to dump him when he is the one keeping them above water

If you're criticizing Matt for the "dying wife" bit, he just took a page out of Johnny Fairplay's book (remember when he lied about the death of his grandmother on "Survivor"?).

The producers control the show by giving out added power when and who they want too. They knew that by giving Matt the diamond power of veto they could give him an upper hand. So it doesnt matter how good someone plays the game it matters on who the producers want to win.

The show is awesome this year. The people who are trashing the DPOV are obviously new fans or they are rooting for the other side. Matt was offered Pandoras box in which he EARNED through tough gameplay. He won it! Kathy threw or did not play well in hoh or pov's. IT's a game remember. I loved the one two punch of Rachel being unleashed on the houseguests like some black plague and then Matt whipping out the DPOV! I hope there are more twists to come.

Brandon was useing his head instead of his heart and it paid off for him. He is not very smart in this game and his girl is very attracted but a skank and dress like one. This is a game everyone, no love lost.

This show is so fixed. Everything goes Matt's way. Watch carefully. During contests Matt gets less of every thing thrown at him. It is obvious when he needs or wants to win the show gives him a heads up. It's just not this year. This veto thing just happen to go to Matt at the right time. YEAH. Keep texting in the show makes millons on this. $1.00 a text.

This is the first year I have not watched every show, too boring. But I want to say one thing.... Why do the producers keep the houseguests from talking about PRODUCTION! Only reason is to keep people watching from knowing how they control the out come of the show.
