Lovers Wes and Gia Are Separated on 'Bachelor Pad'There's no type of romance that lasts for less time than a romance on a reality show. Even the average lifespan of a mayfly lasts longer than a relationship on reality TV. This is a lesson that has been hammered home over and over again.

And on the newest 'Bachelor Pad' (Mon., 8PM ET on ABC), we get to learn this lesson once more. Contestant Gia has a boyfriend back home. But now, she's falling for fellow housemate Wes. It seems that Wes sang a song to Gia, and that made Gia become all fluttery in the heart, romance-wise. (It also made her temporarily forget about her old boyfriend.)

Gia had this to say about Wes, after hearing his song: "[He's like] a modern day Shakespeare, but better and cuter." Okay, this is frankly the dumbest thing we've ever heard. So Wes is "better" than William Shakespeare, the greatest writer in the history of the English language? All right then.

Wes also became pretty infatuated with Gia, and started campaigning for her to be kept on the show. Unfortunately, this sort of backfired. No one had been paying that much attention to Gia, up until this point -- but once Wes started hectoring the other contestants to vote for her, his efforts pretty much put a big target on her back. And in the end ...

... Gia was kicked off the show! She and Wes got sort of weepy, and Wes promised that if he won the $250,000 prize, he'd pay for a flight to visit her in New York. Cool, dude. You could probably afford to do that anyway; plane tickets aren't that expensive. But good to know.

(Bonus note: the guy kicked off of the show tonight was Jon "The Weatherman." There was no particular reason for this, except for the fact that none of the girls seemed to like him that much. Sorry, Jon!)

I just can't believe that a gal can go on this show with a boyfriend back home, toss him aside, get it on with a guy from a show, lose that guy and then go home to mop up the mess she made with the guy she left behind.

What a slut. Her parents must be so ashamed of her.

But I guess this makes good TV. It's probably better for the boyfriend back home to learn what kind of women he was really involved with. She's a dirtbag; you are better off without her.

I really liked Gia and Tenley on The Bachelor, but I haven't liked how either one has acted on this series, I liked Gia until she started falling for Wes--didn't she see him on the old show?? And Tenley, I wish she would stop crying all of the time.

if i had to hear Gia say "that boy" one more time i was going to shoot the tv. she is sooooooo annoying. good luck explaining to her boyfriend when she got home how much she loves him....

This show is insulting to the intelligence and I am tired of seeing Gia playing with her hair every second. She can't do anything without adjusting her hair...ugh. She seemed a little more humble on the Bachelor but she is so full of herself now it's hard to watch. They all act like children. I don't see this show lasting very long.

This show is very much like that old "reality" show, Paradise Hotel. They were so slutty that I could not watch it. Bachelor Pad is getting close!

I watched this show for the first time last night (Bachelor Pad). It is just stupid! The first part had them all voting on who was the best kisser (like 10 yr olds). One of the women admitted that she would kiss anyone for $20 and she went swimming half naked and spent the night with the guy she was trying to impress with her small assets. (easy does it) One of the women named Gia talked about how much in love she was with her guy back home but within a few minutes she was falling in bed with Wes, the singer/guitar playing bachelor. I think I can see why these people are still single and most of them need to stay that way until they mature. I won't be watching this show again.

The young men,and women who go on reality shows who bed hop with one another just to win money is called prostitution in my opinion!An education is the key to success in life saying that there people who are rich,and powerful because of their wealth but ask them to be honest if this has really brought them HAPPINESS,the answer would be "NO",it doesn't cost anything to find HAPPINESS and PEACE that comes from within.... ruth

This is by far the dumbest and trashiest bunch on reality TV...especially Gia and Tenley. Forget Natalie, she is a disgrace. I would think her parents are in hiding right now!
