Fantasia Barrino Speaks Out on Suicide Attempt (VIDEO)

According to 'American Idol' winner Fantasia Barrino, her relationship with Antwaun Cook wasn't the only reason she was driven to attempt suicide by swallowing a combination of aspirin and sleeping pills two weeks ago.

Barrino told Robin Roberts on 'Good Morning America' (weekdays, 7AM ET on ABC) that six years of problems, including public criticism of her personal life, a foreclosure on her home, and difficulty managing her career all contributed.

"I think I was just overloaded with everything, with carrying six years of so much," Barrino said. "It just became heavy for me, to the point where I just wanted to be away from the noise."

Barrino added that her affair with Cook, a married man, wasn't the ultimate reason she attempted to take her own life. "Everybody feels like I tried to harm myself over a man, but, you know, I've been in a lot of bad relationships," she said. "That had somewhat to do with it ... but I think it was just six years of everything, of me holding all that stuff on the inside and not letting it out, and I just got very, very tired."
