Mike Huckabee Finds Common Ground With Rob Reiner (VIDEO)

by Jeremy Taylor, posted Aug 24th 2010 7:40PM
Mike Huckabee ran for president as a Republican, and Rob Reiner is well known for his support of liberal causes. But the two man were able to find common ground on 'The Huckabee Show' (weekdays, syndicated.)

What brought them together? Spying on their children's Web activity.

"A kid has a computer, that means that the entire world is that kid's bedroom," Reiner explained. "So you really do owe it to yourself as a parent to keep your child safe ... you want to know what's going on in their world."

"Nothing thrills me more to be next to a liberal who really has a conservative approach to parenting," a pleased Huckabee told his clapping audience.

Would anyone be better than Obama? Yes. Is he a Muslim? No.

Remember that he belonged to Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago. His wedding and his children's baptisms were performed by the Rev. Jeremiah Wright. The United Church of Christ, which includes the Congregational Church, is about as mainline Protestant as you can get.

It is absolutely a liberal/conservative thing. A liberal Supreme Court justice - Ginsberg - said she thought children should be able to watch pornography. That's the kind of slime we've got on the most important court in the land.

I'm not into the bible beating aspect of Mike Huckabee but he has to be one of the most polite politicians out there. A good speaker too, unlike Babble Obama.

I love Mike Huckabee and what he stands for. He has more wisdom in his pinky finger than most folks in this country have in there whole bodies. He is what America used to be and should be before your so called liberals got a hold of it. When the liberals pushed GOD out of this country it has been sliding closer and closer to HELL. It is liberals who have this country is such a mess we'll probably never get out of it. I feel so sorry for the innocent children growing up today. We live in a country of no caring, greedy, ignorant human being's. It breaks my heart to see what our so called leaders have done to my country. Sin! Sin! Sin! everywhere you look. Thank you my God, for normal human being's like Mike Huckabee. Keep on keepin on Mike. True Americans are behind you all the way. God bless you and everyone who walks with you.

So Mike Huckabee still manages to take a shot at liberals. --------------------

And liberals still manage to take shots at conservatives. I don't see how you can misconstrue what Huckabee said as 'taking a shot' at anyone. Reiner didn't seem to feel he had been 'shot' at. Another misconception promoted by a liberal.

Huckabee should go off in a corner and see if he can find himself.

So Mike Huckabee still manages to take a shot at liberals. Overseeing your kids' computer use is not conservative or liberal parenting. It is good parenting. Another misconception promoted by conservatives.

I know a lot of liberals who think checking up on their children is spying on them and infringing on their rights.

As my mother used to say, if the child is under 18, you have the absolute right to check up on him. Especially if the child is living in your house, relying on the parents for support, and in the case of the computer, using a computer that the parents bought, with an internet connection that the parents are paying for.
