Ladies and gentleman, please hold on to your hats. 'The Walking Dead' trailer is on the Web and it's pretty great. I mean, you're going to be hard-pressed not to say, "WOW!" Yes, in all caps.

According to the Live Feed, the show will debut on Halloween night. Forget the candy -- AMC is where you need to be on Sun., Oct. 31. The 90-minute episode will premiere during AMC's annual Fearfest.

Based on the popular comic series from Robert Kirkman, 'The Walking Dead' tells the story of police officer Rick Grimes, his family and other survivors who come together to battle zombies who have seemingly overtaken the world.

Zombies are not typically my cup o' tea, but man, this looks great. The music sets the tone perfectly and some of these shots are straight from the comic book, but not in an overly cheesy way. I see many 'Walking Dead' Halloween parties suddenly being planned.

Tell us: Will you tune in for 'The Walking Dead'?

This show will be amazing. The comic is fantastic. Currently, only 4 people of the original group are still alive, and you would probably be wrong if you guessed which 4.

Um...this is 28 Days Later and apparently trying to be a weekly show like the gone and hopefully forgotten craptasic Jericho. Sadly with the sight of Lennie James the connection to Jericho is even stronger.

Why is he wearing his uniform?

Pretty great. Good timing too, I think the zombie genre is going to blow up again pretty soon.
I was mostly wondering about the budget. AMC is doing good these days, but they're not exactly rolling in it. But it looks like all they really need to make this show work is good makeup. There will be some CGI, but nothing insane, the sets will all just be abandoned buildings and landscapes. It could be some high class zombie-fication.

It's a remarkably uncompromising comic, and I hope the series retains its refusal to play it safe.

Really looking forward to this. I wish they were doing more than six episodes, but it looks like this is pretty expensive.
