'America's Got Talent' Semi-Finals: Prince Poppycock Stuns the JudgesIt's time for the first set of semi-finals on 'America's Got Talent' (Tue., 9PM ET on NBC). Which acts will succeed? Who will fail? And who can manage to capture the hearts of the judges?

Based on tonight's performances, one man seems like a cinch to make to the next round. And that man is ... Prince Poppycock. The fairly bizarre singer -- who is best described as sort of a "glam rock opera diva" (or something), was able to pull off a fairly incredible rendition of the song 'Bohemian Rhapsody.'

The Prince sang the ballad while wearing a wig and full make-up. He was surrounded by women who were dressed up as sexy Dutch milkmaids ( ...or something). As Poppycock sang, he randomly paused to smash a china plate on the ground. But the oddness of his act didn't matter. What mattered was his voice and his very impressive interpretation of the music.

The judges gave him a standing ovation. Piers Morgan implied that Poppycock's performance was superior to Freddy Mercury's original version of the song. Sharon Osbourne offered even higher praise. She called Prince Poppycock "a male Lady Gaga," then went even further in her admiration of his act. "You... are a... superstar," she said. "A superstar. I bow down to you."

Wow. Pretty impressive. Prince Poppycock seems like he's basically guaranteed to make it to the next round. Did you think his singing deserved such a high level of enthusiasm?

I AM SOOOOOOOOOOOO DISGUSTED WITH THIS SHOW SINCE IT'S SAMO/SAMO/SAMO EVERY YEAR. SINGERS. EVEN JERRY WAS A SINGER BUT AT LEAST HE HAD PUPPETS MIXED IN. ALL THE BLOOD/SWEAT/TEARS IT TAKES TO PUT ON A PERFORMANCE IS HOURS UPON HOURS. SINGERS CAN STAY IN ONE PLACE AND DO JUST THAT. THE ONLY MOVEMENT THEY GET IS THEIR VOCAL CORDS. THOSE IN CHARGE OF THIS SHOW NEED TO CHANGE SOME RULES. THE SINGERS NEED TO GO TO IDOL AND PERFORM. LET THE REAL TALENT BE ON A.G.T. AND NO LITTLE KIDS EVER GET IT, SO I BELIEVE A MINIMUM AGE LIMIT SHOULD BE SET. KIDS ARE JUST NOT LAS VAGAS MATERIAL, NO MATTER HOW GOOD THEY ARE. AND THEIR HEARTS BREAK EVERY YEAR WHEN THEY ARE TAKEN OUT. WHY PUT THESE LITTLE KIDS THRU ALL THIS SORROW AND HURT AND BUST THEIR DREAMS AND HOPES? I HOPE SEASON 6 IS RUN A WHOLE LOT BETTER AND CHANGES IN THE RULES ARE MADE.

POPPYCOCK IS LAS VEGAS MATERIAL FOR A SURETY. IF A.G.T. AUDIENCE/VIEWERS VOTE JACKIE AS # 1, THEY ARE TOTALLY WRONG/WRONG/WRONG. WE HAD AN OPERA SINGER LAST YEAR WHO WAS OF AGE AND THE VERY BEST AND WAS VOTED DOWN. POPPYCOCK IS A SHOW IN HIMSELF. HE IS CREATIVE/FUNNY/HAS GREAT PERSONALITY AND CAN PUT ON A DIFFERENT ACT EVERY NIGHT FOR YEARS TO COME. JACKIE IS A 10 YR OLD CHILD AND HER STARDOM IS COMING DOWN THE ROAD. CUTENESS DON'T MAKE TALENT. SOB STORIES DON'T MAKE TALENT. PRINCE POPPYCOCK SHOULD BE #1. HE IS EVERYTHING TO EVERYONE IN PERFORMANCES. AMERICA, VOTE HIM IN. I HAVE.

I like Poppycock, and I like the Dutch theme.
Btw, I don't think it was China Plate he smashed, but Delftware. That would fit more in the Dutch setting. ;)

Like Sharon, I ADORE Poppycock. I'd work for him gratis. He's on his way to superstardom! His voice is wonderful and his style is incredible.

You jest of course. Who would pay Vegas ticket prices to see a pervert in drag? They took out the best act and choose him or it, or what ever it is? They have made the show a farce. They put youbg talent who could not possibly do Vegas because of age and development. They have pulled the DEMOGRAPHIC game, All ages, all genders, all variety of acts.
Do you really believe that they count votes? They proved they don't last night.
