'Saturday Night Live' Adding Three New Cast Members

Taran KillamSadly, Will Forte is leaving 'Saturday Night Live.' We know MacGruber is a force in the writing room and consistently brings a fun quirk to every character he plays, but does it really take three comedians to replace him? If the rumors are true and three new cast members are joining the show, it appears another exit could be coming.

Taran Killam (pictured) is the most recognizable face in next season's freshman class. He's had recurring roles on 'Scrubs' and 'How I Met Your Mother,' plus he is 'HIMYM' star Cobie Smulders' baby daddy. The other two names floating around, Paul Brittain and Vanessa Bayer, are both improv veterans of Chicago's iO Theater, where Amy Poehler and Andy Richter both started.

Besides Forte, who will these newbies be replacing? Seth Meyers, Andy Samberg, Jason Sudeikis and Kenan Thompson have not yet confirmed whether they're returning next season, according to reports. Based on the number of other projects he's been booking lately, Sudeikis is probably the most likely to split. However, Meyers has been around the longest so he may be getting antsy.

Samberg and Thompson have the most to gain by staying. Samberg gets to promote his 'Lonely Island' projects by making music videos with 'SNL's' money, and Thompson plays a number of prominent, popular characters featured on the show. Plus, he is still the only African American in the cast. The lack of diversity complaints are already loud enough as it is -- if he were to leave and be replaced by yet another white male comedian, the negative response could be deafening.

If Kenan left, I would really miss his "What's Up with That" skits. They are freakin' hilarious.

"Thompson plays a number of prominent, popular characters featured on the show."

And he plays them all EXACTLY THE SAME. Honestly, the only difference between Michael Steele, Charles Barkley, the "Scared Straight" guy, the "sassy mom" and the French comedian is a beret.

It is ridiculous that they have not found an African American to play Obama. Have they even looked?
