Meghan McCain: Sarah Palin Brought Drama and Panic to 2008 Campaign (VIDEO)

Meghan McCain was on 'Good Morning America' (Weekdays, 7 AM ET on ABC) Tuesday to promote her new book "Dirty Sexy Politics," and she had some interesting things to say about Sarah Palin.

McCain confirmed to George Stephanopoulos that she believed Palin -- who she had avoided talking about since the election -- ended up hurting her dad's presidential campaign, although added "we did not lose because of her."

"I'm speaking out now because I do have conflicting feelings about (Palin)," Meghan explained. "She brought so much momentum and enthusiasm to the campaign. You saw the crowds double and you saw a lot more women coming to the rallies."

"But you also wrote that she brought 'drama, stress, complications, panic and loads of uncertainty,' Stephanopoulos reminded her.

"It's true," Meghan confirmed, with a laugh.

Meghan did not rule out supporting Palin, if she were to be the 2012 GOP nominee. However, when the subject of the next presidential election came up, McCain quickly mentioned that she thought Mitt Romney was "doing a lot of smart things."

That sounds to us like a dirty sexy endorsement.

Enough Already

The only drama queen here is ABC news and their clear bias. Can anyone tell them the election is over. Palin helped to energize the McCain campaign and any comment from Meghan does not diminish what she brought to the ticket. Would take Palin any day over what we have now!

Look, I'm no fan of these idiots, but your headline is sensationalist and one-sided. She said only positive things about Palin. Then George said negative things, and she agreed. You're making it look like she blurted out these things. Dishonest.

This women is pathetic and trying to keep herself in the news as some sort of hip political person. She is neither hip nor has a political knowledge.

McCain was a horrible choice for the (R) nomination and only did well because of Palin. Seriously she needs to open the door and get out once in a while

What is pathetic is the reich wing walking in goose step towards the End of Days at the expense of all Americans. The fact that Megan hasn't drank the right-wing kool-aide is refreshing. Too bad she would still vote with the kool-aide crowd, because they learn nothing. The watch Bush destroy the economy and send our sons and daughters off to his illegal war and they sit quietly by - waiting to blame the next guy in for 8 years of tyranny and destruction using our country's good-will and high ground for Haliburton, Murdoch and Koch Brothers ilk. Giving them the biggest tax breaks while they farm out poverty jobs to India and China - not reinvest in America. That's the Republican Party. Megan unfortunately, knows it. Afterall, how do you make war Veterans like McCain and Kerry look like bad guys? Ask the Karl Rove Republicans. Hate, fear and smear campaigning to get their meat puppets in - Bush - Yale should be embarrassed.
