'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Gets a Cast and a Premiere Date

by Jean Bentley, posted Aug 31st 2010 1:30PM
'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills'Almost six months after Bravo announced it had given the green light to a Beverly Hills-set installment of its 'Real Housewives' franchise, the new series finally has a premiere date.

'The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' will debut on Oct. 14 at 10PM ET, but luckily you won't have to wait that long to meet the new ladies. In a press release today, the network introduced the women whose drama we'll be following intensely come October.

Turns out many of the rumors about potential cast members were true, as Kelsey Grammer's soon-to-be ex-wife Camille has signed on, in addition to Kim and Kyle Richards, child stars in their own right who are better known these days as Paris Hilton's aunts, and three other well-connected ladies.

Here's the scoop on the stars, who Bravo promises are "six of the most affluent women in the country [who] enjoy the lavish lifestyle that only Beverly Hills can provide":

Camille Grammer, a former dancer who collects rare books and owns a television production company while raising her two children with Kelsey Grammer.

Adrienne Maloof, a member of the well-to-do family that owns the Sacramento Kings and the Palms Casino in Las Vegas. She's a mother of three young boys and married to a well-known plastic surgeon.

Lisa Vanderpump, a British expat and mother of two adult children who runs two restaurants, owns a skincare line and writes a skincare column in a Beverly Hills magazine.

Kim and Kyle Richards, sisters of Kathy Hilton who each have four children and are both former child actresses.

Taylor Armstrong
, an Oklahoma transplant who runs her own SAP firm, volunteers, and takes care of her young daughter.

Tell us: Will you watch the Beverly Hills Housewives in October?

Karen get real...this is entertainment...not a comedy
routine. People want to see a better than ordinary life of beautiful people...it gets them away from their way of life, looking at others and their way of life that is BETTER not DOWN & OUT in BEVERLY HILLS kido!

i think you and i are on the same page when it comes to this. the lower/middle class wives could really use the money that these rich women are making and already have. hopefully this will happen

I have watched every one since RHOOC, I still miss Jeana. I love Vicki's spunk, I love Carolines matronly ways, So glad Danielle was fired. Was sad to see Jill's ego was inflated a bit and the friendship with Bethenny ended. Kelli is really hard to follow, so I don't RHOA, Candi has such a great voice, and her and AJ's story really touched me. The RHODC I can't say is of the same caliber as the others though, not sure if that will be one I will continue to watch. the new Beverly Hills one. Well, I think I would still like to see lives of ppl who maybe face some of the same struggles in life that I do. I do not come from nor did I marry into money. I think that people like that are real.

Can someone tell me why all the "housewives" on all the shows are already "rich"? How is that real? To me a real housewife is one who has to worry about where the money is going to come from to pay the next bill, how to cope with everyday life not what restaurant they are going to eat lunch in. Real life worries, and how they cope......now that is what us "real" housewives deal with. These women don't have to worry about how to get new school close, or how to fix the car that just broke down, or how to fix a family meal that everyone will eat when nobody likes the same things.....i'm just sayin.

why can't we have a house wife show on everyday people? why do they have to be rich in big houses when really the everyday woman could use the money that these rich women already have. are we to boring or what? i highly doubt that..

Well, I've been a housewife since 1980. My kids grew up and moved out and my husband up and died last year. Now it's just me and the house.

Hey, Bravo, send a big camera crew over. They can film me painting every room in the house as I go through and throw out all the crap my family left behind.

Signed, a Real Housewife (who actually works on her own house)

^YAWN^ Won't be watching Beverly Hills. They don't interest me and neither does D.C.(haven't watched one episode of that one). Love N.Y. & New Jersey. O.C. is OK but they all got too big for their britches so to speak, LOL
