Geraldo Rivera Is Pretty Sure a Hurricane Could Have Prevented 9/11 (VIDEO)

by Jeremy Taylor, posted Sep 3rd 2010 3:48PM
Rudy Giuliani is notorious for his ability to evoke the tragedy of 9/11 no matter what he happens to be talking about. However, veteran newsman Geraldo Rivera may have just surpassed the former New York City mayor when it comes to awkwardly forced 9/11 references.

Geraldo was on 'Fox & Friends' (weekdays, 6 AM ET on Fox News) Friday, and the topic turned to Hurricane Earl, and Geraldo's years of storm coverage.

"One funny thing I think of ... if only a hurricane had come on 9/11," Geraldo said.

"Remember, they didn't know how to use the instruments, these terrorists," he continued. "They took off in Boston . . . and after they took over the aircraft they steered by line of sight. And it was that crystal clear September day. And if it were only one of these weather days, history would have been rewritten. And I think about that a lot now, especially this time of year."
