Once again, the judges love Michael Costello's work on 'Project Runway' (Thu., 9PM ET on LIFE). And once again, the other contestants are left bemused and incredulous. "You can't do a zipper, a swoop, lace and satin! Come on!" says Gretchen Jones.

When Michael brags about the judges' reaction to his turning a bridesmaid dress into a "sexy, sophisticated, expensive-looking" cocktail dress, Gretchen, Ivy Higa and the other competitors bite their tongues. But their pained expressions betray them.

In his absence, Gretchen's exasperation bubbles to the surface. "What show are we [beep] on? I feel like I'm -- I don't even know why I'm here!" She later says simply, "I don't think Michael C. deserved to win." Yes, Gretchen, we gathered that.
