Ellen Does 'Letterman' Top 10 -- Things That Have Been on Ellen DeGeneres's Mind Lately (VIDEO)

Ms. Ellen DeGeneres was on 'Late Show' tonight (weeknights, 11:35PM ET on CBS), and during her appearance, she got the coveted position of delivering the nightly "Top Ten" list. The topic of the list was "Things That Have Been on Ellen's Mind Lately." And so, DeGeneres got to share the inner workings of her brain with David Letterman, and with the rest of us.

Without further ado, here is a random sampling of the some of the stuff that Ms. DeGeneres has been thinking about lately. The full list covered such important topics as Oprah Winfrey, 'The View,' and the new iPod, but after the jump, we have some of the other highlights ...


10) "Now that everyone knows I can dance, I should show them how well I can play the harp." (This being a reference to Ellen's fairly amazingly impressive "moves" on 'So You Think You Can Dance.')

9) "What's the point of quitting 'American Idol' if Randy keeps calling me?" (Yup. In case you had missed hearing this somehow, Ellen has left 'Idol.' And there's still some controversy about that.)

8) "For the last time, I'm not Jane Lynch, I'm the other one!" (She and Jane do look somewhat similar, and the pair have other similarities as well.)

6) "I never should've let Paris Hilton hold my purse." (So that's who's to blame for the latest Hilton-related scandal.)

5) "Nachos." (This was just our favorite weird thought, for whatever reason.)

And Ellen's number one random thought, for this particular day ...

1) "Man, my wife's hot."

Indeed she is, Ellen. Indeed she is. Whatever our feelings may be about DeGeneres' other thoughts, we can at least all agree that her wife Portia De Rossi is pretty darn hot. ... And thanks for sharing with us, Ellen.
